Explore R25

INSPIRED BY distance travelled and journeys experienced, Explore R25 is a reflection of the place that I have arrived in as a designer, a woman, a friend, lover and a mother.

I’m easily inspired when I’m out of my comfort zone, experiencing new environments. This collection came to fruition earlier this year on a trip to Vietnam. Taken aback by the dusty yet lush landscapes, the richness of the cities, the sweltering heat and the gentle generosity of people I met. It was the stolen moments in a coffee garden, surrounded by concrete walls crawling with plants, the smell of rich, Vietnamese coffee and the all consuming heat where this seasons colours came to life.

Spending time on an island called Phu Quoc, known for its fertility, and affectionately as Pearl Island, I learnt about the islands history of Pearl cultivating. The Mother Of Pearl, belonging to the ocean felt only natural in a collection of biodegradable swimwear and so began the connection of this seasons Salt Water Pearl embellishments.

Along with travel, this year has brought with it a journey of exploration as I have entered my thirties. I’ve surrounded myself with grounded, feminine energy and brought this to life in the way that our designs support and bring confidence, whilst allowing the wearer to celebrate femininity and softness - the true essence of a Lawrence piece.
