A Preview of Evolve SS24

 

My very first collection, being Emerge which released in the High summer of '23 felt like a fitting place for me to start, dipping my toes in as it were. A year later, my next collection and Lawrence, the labels very first collection - Evolve embodies the feeling of long, hot summers days, it embraces the meaning of our new name, evolving with it and displaying qualities of Boldness, Elegance and Timelessness.
 
My colour palette for this collection is inspired by childhood memories of spending each summer at my Granny and Grandad's barn house in Cognac, France. Balmy, blue skied days where I would spend all afternoon riding around the little hamlet of Sonnac on a rusty cream bicycle romanticising my future life as only a girl could, biscuity dust flying around me as I flew down the narrow streets. Being mesmerised by the neighbour who taught me how to play the baroque flute. The electric blue of our paddling pool and the striped sun chairs that matched the umbrella. The texture of the dense, incredibly dark blackberry bushes that lined the paddocks, keeping the donkeys where they belonged. The feeling of the cool worn out tiles underfoot in the kitchen in the morning. Essentially; long hot summers spent close to family and loved ones.
 
I felt inspired by the practicality and wearability of the pieces I loved most from our latest collection. Tops I could wear to yoga, One Pieces I could wear out for a wine or running about at the beach with family, teaching my little boy how to build sand castles and ride waves in the ocean. Evolve's styles have been designed with this wearability in mind, yet they hold on to the elegance of being a women. At Lawrence we celebrate our softness with elegantly cut pieces, suiting all bodies and bringing confidence to those who wear them.
